With over two decades of experience in the healthcare and nursing industry, I have honed my skills in clinical care, instruction, quality management, and project leadership. As an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and former clinical program manager at a prestigious academic medical center's Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program, I successfully led a talented team and oversaw a complex program, collaborating with diverse disciplines and external organizations to ensure the delivery of exceptional services.
Building on this foundation, I made a strategic transition into the cell therapy biotech industry, where I currently serve as a Director of Commercial Learning and Development. In this dynamic role, I harness my extensive healthcare background and leadership acumen to drive strategic initiatives, optimize team performance, and contribute to the growth and success of the organization.
Passionate about quality, operations, and education, I have consistently spearheaded successful initiatives in the healthcare industry by implementing innovative digital solutions. Throughout my career, I have led diverse projects that span process optimization, workflow automation, data analysis, and insights, all aimed at improving outcomes and reducing waste. I am proud to be a graduate of the executive Doctor of Nursing Practice program at Johns Hopkins University, where I developed an innovative hybrid telephone triage nursing workshop. This project resulted in significant improvements in oncology nurse confidence, skills, institutional education, and policy changes. Recognized for its excellence, the project received accolades such as the best overall design award at the JHU Translational Scholarship Symposium, along with top abstract awards from renowned organizations like the Oncology Nursing Society and the International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care.
With over 20 publications in esteemed peer-reviewed journals, including Oncology Nursing Forum, The Journal of Continuing Education in Nursing, Journal of American Academy of Dermatology, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Seminars in Oncology, Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing, Journal of Advanced Practitioner in Oncology, and Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, I have established a strong presence in the academic and research community. My writing expertise extends to various formats, such as textbook chapters, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, literature reviews, nursing newsletters, patient education materials, abstracts, DNP project proposals, and manuscript preparation. Furthermore, I have shared my knowledge through over 40 presentations, with a third of them being on an international stage.
